Gabriel is an Archangel who has some musical talent with a horn. I like to imagine that it is a trumpet, since I played one in my youth. The formations in this dance trace out some of the lines and functions of a modern trumpet. The first figure is the main loop of the tubing with the mouthpiece and the tuning slide. The second figure (down and back cast) is the bell of the horn. The final 16 bars depicts the down and up operation of the three valves and the tubes in the central part of the horn.

This is a relaxed, non-stressful jig, suitable as a warmup dance.
Suggested music: Twizell Bridge, Olympians
