A 32-bar Jig for 4 couples

Devised by Oberdan Otto

The dance begins with third and fourth couples having changed sides of the set with their partners.
1-4:
First and fourth couples turn with right hands.
5-8:
First couple turns with the left hands 1-1/2 times to end between second couple, hands joined in a line across the dance. At the same time, fourth couple does the same to end hands joined with third couple (end with all men facing away from the middle of the set, all ladies facing toward the middle of the set).
9-12:
All balance in line.
13-16:
First and fourth couples turn their corner person with the right hand about once around to end in a star formation with first and fourth couples left hands forming the hub of the star (middle people facing anti-clockwise, outside people facing clockwise).
17-20:
Balance In Star: all set twice.
21-24:
First and fourth couples dance left hands across, ending facing the ends of the set, left hands joined.
25-32:
Crossing Hearts: First and fourth couples dance out the ends of the set, cast away from partner into a figure of eight on the sides of the set around the standing corners (join nearer hands with partners when passing through the end couples) to end in the original starting positions of third and second couples respectively. The couple arrangement at the end is 2,4,1,3.
Repeat three times from new positions.

This dance was devised for Valentine's Day, February 14, 1979.
